We are starting this blog to help you not only to get to know us better, but to give you tips on keeping your lashes, hair and body in tune! We will include product reviews, events, before and after photos, salon staff news, tips and trends and so much more! Be sure to read our blog each month for new exciting things.

Hi Friends! This has been an exciting year for all of us at Plush. We started out as Brandy's and then moved into the hair world and became Plush Beauty Bar. With that came some amazing additions to our team! If you need your hair done we have some really amazing hair dressers with all kinds of talents. Let us know your needs and we can find the right staff member for you.
Now after that shameless plug, I want to thank you guys for being patient while we work out all the kinks of our ever expanding business. It's been hard figuring it all out, but it's been a blessing being here for all of you. What an amazing year! And 2014 will bring us even more amazing things as well.

Tips and Trends
Making your face look slimmer!
1. Wake Up With Tea
Early morning tea time is a great way to get rid of any bloating or puffiness in the skin. Peppermint and ginger are both known to help get rid of excess bloat. No tea on hand? No problem. Heat warm water on the stove and squeeze some fresh lemon for taste.
2. Prime the Skin
Using a brightening and tightening primer before makeup can instantly tighten skin and help decrease puffiness. Say goodbye to large pores and dehydrated complexion.
3. Contour
One of the quickest ways to make your face appear slimmer is to contour. Using a flat brush, apply a contouring blush or powder (matte preferably) in a soft line angled down your cheeks. Start slowly with this, and keep blending to avoid any harsh lines. You can also use the same trick on
each side of your nose to help it appear smaller as well.
4. Bronze
Bronzer and tanning products have an instant slimming effect on the face and body. Use a sheer bronzer to highlight the skin after contouring for a healthy glow that accentuates light in all the right places. Apply with a powder brush in the shape of the number 3, along the forehead, cheek, and jawline. Or come by the salon and we can give you a quick airbrush on your face that will last a few days.
5. Illuminate
Applying a sheer highlighting powder under the eyes and down the nose for a
brightening effect will cause the contoured (read: chiseled) and bronzed part of your face to stand out more. This creates a shape that is natural, slimming, and flattering.

Products We LOVE!
Diamond Oil by Redken is the most amazing product I've ever used! I use it everyday and it has made a HUGE difference in my hair. I typically use it after I wash my hair, but I also use it while it's dry to help tame it. It's a great product and I wouldn't steer you wrong!
